Following a recent audit, Scotland Excel is delighted to announce that it has been recertified by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply for Excellence in Purchasing Policies and Procedures and retains its status as the only Scottish public sector organisation with this level of accreditation.
Andrew Coulcher, Director of Business Solutions at CIPS presented Scotland Excel with a certificate to mark this achievement at an award ceremony at their offices on Friday 19 March. The event was attended by key stakeholders, senior managers and representatives from departments across the organisation who had been involved in the recertification audit.
Councillor Brian Lawson, the Convenor of Scotland Excel’s Joint Committee, accepted the award from CIPS on behalf of the organisation. David Martin, Chief Executive of Renfrewshire Council and Chair of Scotland Excel’s Chief Executive Officers Management Group was also in attendance.
The CIPS Accreditation programme is an established international benchmark of excellence in organisational procurement competence and is endorsed by the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA). Certification ensures that Scotland Excel is maintaining excellent procurement standards and continues to delivers benefits each year.
