Our people
As a service organisation, Scotland Excel recognises that our people are key to our success. By providing challenging, friendly and supportive working environment, our aim is to attract and retain the best people and to help them achieve their potential.
As you would expect of a Centre of Procurement Expertise, all of our procurement specialists have extensive experience within their chosen profession, and almost all have, or are studying for, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualifications.
We also employ other business specialists who support our organisation with a weath of professional experience in their field. These employees are members of a range of professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), and the Society of Information Technology Managers (SOCITM).
Scotland Excel are fully committed to helping our staff develop and broaden their skills and progress in their career. We do this through relevant professional and practical training courses, our own first class learning and development programme, and our ongoing performance review system.
The wellbeing of our employees is important to us. We strongly support a balanced working life and to help facilitate this, we offer a flexi-time system. We are also participating in the Healthy Working Lives initiative which supports both employers and employees in developing health promotion and safety practices in the workplace.
