National IT managed services framework

Scottish Government launches national public sector contract for IT managed services.
This framework covers a wide range of services including website hosting and support, data hosting, desktop and server support, disaster recovery, hardware hosting and helpdesk services. The contract also includes provision for technical partnering services such a consultancy, project and programme management.
Public sector organisations using the framework can benefit from standard terms of condition, and agreed maximum chargeable day rates from all suppliers where applicable. Costs may be further reduced through mini-competition.
In addition, the framework ensures that capacity and coverage requirements can be met across the public sector, and that suppliers deliver additional benefits in relation to sustainability and quality.
