Scottish Government launches consultation on PQQ standardisation

Pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs) are used as part of the procurement process to ascertain the suitability, capacity and capability of prospective suppliers before issuing invitations to tender.

The Scottish Government has been working with key stakeholders from both the buyer and supplier communities to deliver a standardised approach to pre-qualification procedures in public procurement.

This new approach aims to simplify the current process, reduce duplication and remove inconsistencies. In addition, a proposed facility for storing standard responses is intended to encourage more suppliers to participate in the pre-qualification process.

The Scottish Government is currently analysing responses to a consultation with procurement professionals and buyers across the public sector. For more information, please visit the Scottish Government website.
