Supplier Journey shows route to contracts

Scottish Government launches online resource to help companies bid for public sector business.
A new website to guide businesses through the process of applying for public sector contracts was launched at the recent National Procurement Conference by Alex Neil, Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure and Capital Investment.
The Supplier Journey takes a look at the contract process from the supplier perspective, and provides useful links to other resources and websites. The site aims to engage suppliers with the bidding process while explaining the rules and procedures which govern public procurement.
Suppliers are invited to travel through three 'zones' on their journey to understand public sector tendering. Zone A provides insight into public sector customers, along with tips for identifying opportunities and preparing to bid. Zone B provides a step-by-step guide to the tender process, while Zone C explains what happens after a contract is awarded.
The new website was developed with the help of Scottish companies who have already gone through the tendering process, and the site will be reviewed regularly as a result of supplier feedback.
The Supplier Journey is available on the Scottish Government website.
