Three new framework contracts were awarded at August's Executive Sub-Committee meeting covering the provision of washroom solutions; the supply and delivery of textbooks and the supply and delivery of fresh meats, cooked meats and fish. 

Washroom solutions

• covers a range of 24 core services for the disposal of sanitary, nappy, incontinence and medical waste
• 27 local authorities have agreed to participate in this framework.
• The annual spend of the 27 participating authorities is estimated at £2,730,300

Educational textbooks and resources

• covers the wide range of publications used by schools including academic books, school library books and reference books.
• 22 member councils have indicated their intention to participate in the framework agreement
• The annual spend of local authorities on educational publications is estimated at c. £5.5m.  

Supply and distribution of fresh meats, cooked meats and fresh fish

• covers a range of 108 core products used predominantly by education, social work and civic catering departments. 
• 22 local authorities confirmed their participation in this framework.
• The annual spend of the 22 participating authorities is estimated at £5M.
