Enhancing Procurement Capabilities
In early 2009, Scotland Excel launched Enhancing Procurement Capabilities, a rolling programme of learning and development opportunities for public sector procurement professionals.
In the first two years of operation, the programme was built around the delivery of core skills in procurement, negotiation, legal, marketing and project management. In 2011, we aligned the programme to skills gaps identified through Procurement Capability Assessments (PCAs), and offered a range of different learning models which we will continue through 2012.
Since January 2009, over 1,500 delegates from more than 70 public sector organisations have taken part in the programme, and our courses have been awarded an average quality score in excess of 87% by those attending.
Enhancing Procurement Capabilities courses offer excellent value for money, and are priced at around 30-60% of the cost of commercial training programmes.
