Sustainability workgroup

Scotland Excel has established a working group of sustainable procurement champions with representatives from across the organisation.  This multi-disciplinary approach ensures that sustainability permeates the work of all our teams. 

The responsibilities of the workgroup are to:

  • Co-ordinate and support sustainable procurement activities, projects and working groups
  • Undertake best practice research
  • Undertake gap analysis of sustainable procurement in the organisation
  • Maintain sustainable procurement strategy, action plans and policy
  • Embed sustainable procurement within the procurement process including product specifications, evaluation criteria, etc
  • Provide training and deliver behavioural change within the organisation
  • Engage with suppliers
  • Disseminate information and report progress
