Sustainability workgroup
Scotland Excel has established a working group of sustainable procurement champions with representatives from across the organisation. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures that sustainability permeates the work of all our teams.
The responsibilities of the workgroup are to:
- Co-ordinate and support sustainable procurement activities, projects and working groups
- Undertake best practice research
- Undertake gap analysis of sustainable procurement in the organisation
- Maintain sustainable procurement strategy, action plans and policy
- Embed sustainable procurement within the procurement process including product specifications, evaluation criteria, etc
- Provide training and deliver behavioural change within the organisation
- Engage with suppliers
- Disseminate information and report progress
