Scotland Excel is in the process of creating a new dedicated Buyer Profile area for both current and potential suppliers which will provide the opportunity to respond to current tender openings, identify future opportunities and view past contract awards.

The Buyer Profile will contain:

• Organisation Details 
• Contact Details 
• Purchase Plans 
• Future Tenders/Planned Procurements 
• Current Tenders/Current Procurements
• Past Tenders/Awarded Contracts
• Other Information

It is anticipated that the Buyer Profile area will be available in the coming weeks.

ADVERTISING

PIN notices are placed on the Scotland Excel website in the Buyer Profile folder of the Supplier section.  Timing is usually 3 months to one year in advance of the advert.

Advertising of contracts is free and accessible through the Scotland Excel website as well as the OJEU (Official Journal of the European Union).

In addition, a new central government portal (website) will be available from the end of 2008, providing a comprehensive service to suppliers with information on all public sector contracts in Scotland.  This service will be free of charge.
